Sustained by his faith in Christ and the kindness of a family who funded his education at Daystar University in Kenya, John emerged with a vision: to return to South Sudan and raise up a new generation of servant leaders. That vision became Good Shepherd Academy — a Christian school in Juba, South Sudan, now serving over 500 students representing more than 34 tribes and 6 nations. In a region deeply scarred by tribal conflict, GSA is building peace through education, reconciliation, and the love of Christ.GSA offers more than academics. Children receive two meals a day, and their families are granted access to clean water. The school prioritizes girls’ education, students with disabilities, and children who have lost years of schooling due to war or displacement. Less than 10% of women in South Sudan are literate — GSA is changing that. “This is truly a precious ministry—serving children that have so little, but through this great work are being given so much.” A recent visitor to GSA Can’t Attend?
