Fourth Annual Golf Outing Benefiting Good Shepherd Academy – Monday, September 21, 2026
Get ready to tee it up for a day of golf, fellowship, and purpose. Their Fourth Annual Golf Outing, hosted by Locking Arms Men at Quicksilver Golf Course in Midway, PA, brings golfers together for an enjoyable day on the course—and for a cause that reaches far beyond the fairways.
Proceeds from the outing benefit Good Shepherd Academy (GSA), the Christian school founded by the Reverend John Chol Daau in South Sudan. Through education, faith, and a commitment to peace, GSA is bringing opportunity and hope to hundreds of children and their families.
Play With a Greater Purpose
Golfers of all skill levels are welcome. Register individually or with a foursome and enjoy one of the Pittsburgh area’s favorite courses. Every registration helps Good Shepherd Academy provide education, nutritious meals, and access to clean water for children in South Sudan.
The Day’s Schedule
The day includes a box lunch, a full round of golf, and a catered dinner. Following play, a representative of Father John’s ministry will share the latest news and stories from Good Shepherd Academy.

Golfer Participation Packages
Golfers can take part as individuals ($200) or can register as a foursome ($750). Or you can attend the dinner only, for a suggested donation of $50.

Businesses, churches, and community organizations are invited to support the outing through one of several sponsorship opportunities. Sponsors receive recognition before and during the event while helping Good Shepherd Academy provide education, meals, clean water, and a more hopeful future for children in South Sudan. Sponsorship also offers an opportunity to stand alongside a ministry that brings children from diverse tribes and nations together through education, reconciliation, and the love of Christ. By investing in the outing, sponsors help equip a new generation of servant leaders.

- Tee Sponsor ($300) & Putting Contest Sponsor ($500): Website and email recognition

- Beverage Cart Sponsor ($1,250): Cart signage and tee sponsorship

Why This Event Matters
The Ministry of John Chol Daau
As a young boy, John Chol Daau fled civil war and persecution in Sudan, spending years in refugee camps. Sustained by his faith in Christ and the kindness of a family who funded his education at Daystar University in Kenya, John emerged with a vision: to return to South Sudan and raise up a new generation of servant leaders.
That vision became Good Shepherd Academy, a Christian school in Juba serving more than 500 students from 34 tribes and six nations. In a country deeply affected by conflict and displacement, GSA brings children together through education, reconciliation, and the love of Christ.
The academy’s ministry extends well beyond the classroom. Students receive two meals each day, and their families have access to clean water. GSA also makes education more accessible to girls, students with disabilities, and children whose schooling has been interrupted by war or displacement. Support for the golf outing helps this vital work continue.

Student Sponsorship Options:
